I get how JV's work, no two are the same and both sides will always claim win / win
Three things stand out;
- Tom Ullrich said of Aston Bay "we're looking for that big hit, we're a discovery player"... sounds like the Storm project fits the bill so why only keep 20% of it?
- Aston are on their third JV for Storm after the previous two were terminated by their partners including BHP.
- Tom Ullrich knows Storm and the local players in the mining industry better than anyone, and that counts.
So Aston probably think Storm is okay but prefer to explore elsewhere.
