Without invoking illegal activities (which I don't rule out) I think the early stoppage for the winter and the idea that things would stall for perhaps 6 months or more triggered some selling which just became unstoppable. Perceived unsatisfactory results at depth (it is just so much harder to explore at depth than at surface with 100s of m. of gossans as guide) was also an issue, but as you say the drilling was very preliminary.

I too have a satisfactory holding (1.4 mil including oppies, which I am sure to exercise) after taking profit and free carry on the up, then doubling down.

However I am concerned that this cap is far too low, I want to hold this to production, not into a T/O - maybe a hit-on at C.Warrior may get a rerate, or attract too much attention !!!
