There has never been a time in history better all around than today for the general population. Sure there are Third World hell holes, but even they are somewhat recipients of global charity. The world responds to areas hit by tsunamis, earthquakes, pandemics, etc, like never before.
We are not being slaughtered by Mongol armies, annexed by Roman armies, killed by Nazis, fed on gruel and forced into a life of slavery, dying of bad teeth and medical conditions that today we see as minor. And you have religious freedom to wander the streets and peddle your belief with little more than the occasional dismissal or snide remark. These are end times for you, nobody else.
There is adequate medical systems, financial systems and social systems for every strata of society, it's never been better regardless if it's not great for everybody. We live in a multi-cultural society which is for the most part accepting and tolerant, and this is a very recent social landscape unique to this age.
I'm not sure morals and ethics are declining or any worse than they have ever been and if that is the case then we can be certain that the cause is the failure of religion, not Satan, not wicked men. Religion has one job to do and it gets tax breaks and all sorts of perks to do that one job.
So as far as I can see the, misleading, is coming from the likes of you. When you mix exclusively with a doomsday cult and cut yourself off from real engagement with real people it is end times, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy, the glass is always half empty. You need to mix with people who have a healthy attitude to life, not this American doomsday rubbish.
If you had the courage to enter the real world you would find there are many positive aspects to humanity outside the negative influences of your religion.
