everything goes beserk.
Including this thread. 4 weeks ago it was easier to tease an erection from a concrete monk than it was to get this thread going. Hopefully all you intelligent people will stick around - i'm sure the others will drift off to the next big thing soon enough.
Cant say i agree with a lot of what's being said (but too many posts to read in any detail) - and i'm too knackered to type too much. I'm saving my energy to count the money i've made on these shares. Nice to have a win occassionally eh?!
Just a couple of things. Good point about the storm damage and great to hear from someone with your knowledge -Your point may have been answered already by someone else but i'm pretty sure they've designed the units so that if the 50yr/100yr/1000yr storm does come through, the "buoys" will detach from the pumps, leaving the pump unit to rest on the sea floor, undamaged. Yep, it would be a costly bugger but at least the expensive infrastructure would be completely safe. That's a huge hurdle to overcome and i'm pretty sure they've done it. Show me another wave energy system that can deliver that peace of mind!
As for the 1 pump per household - 30,000 pumps (did i read that right?). no. Way off. not sure where you got that figure from. Have a look at the CNM website, particularly the media section - it will point you in the right direction. It's much more efficient than that.
I'm no expert on the comparison with wind and other renewables but an interesting article recently pointed out that currently, wind is so unreliable it needs to back up its power 90% with another base load source, at theis stage fossil fuels. Anyone know if that is acurate? If that's the case it does put CETO's efficiency in a new light - it is base load - waves can be predicted days in advance, not hours or minutes and at the right sites, are constant above the required levels for base load power.
I thought it would take the first site announcement to wake people up to this stock and send it to 50c, but obviously not. But even i would have to admit that without an ann this has jumped ahead of itself - but then again, if an ann is around the corner maybe it'll jump again with a bit more legitimacy. We can only hope.
PS: I've followed this stock religiously and have read everything there is about it but i'm obviously no engineer or expert - so as everyone else says, do you're own freaking research. and then buy some shares!
