here's the chart.. the sobering point is that for 2000- 2005 the price doesn't really move yet China was growing, worldwide demand was growing the resource price boom years of mid 2006 - 2008 are unlikely to return for at least a some years.. though long term the world will need more aluminium and low cost producers are better placed to make money in this metal...

it's going to be more about volume production than high prices for some time
