The sharp suited, champagne lover Paul Howes and his merry band of comrades had a great time yesterday. They roared Solidarity Forever with great gusto. Reminded me of the good ol' Stalinist days.
Then they welcomed their chosen one Julia Gillard. She is theirs because Howes and the faceless men put her in as PM and at the moment, they are supporting her 110%.
Of course Gillard has nostalgic connections to the AWU because her ex lover Wilson was an AWU official.
