all fine speculation - but, like the slinkiest, mpost evasive black cat, Gillard seems to have nine lives - (or is it instead some alleged reliance an invisible shield of mysterious protective forces, POWERFUL ones, who have gathered around her and pulled all the appropriate strings to ensure her survival from any exposure to REAL scrutiny and formal police questioning, thereby stymying any subsequent investigations or other "embarrassments" pre-election others of lesser public "status" would have to submit to under our country's laws.

DO these laws NOW only apply to some - but not to others - the ones with power, and connections, and the best of lawyers and advisers? Added to these advantages, psycologically it's a HUGE advantage to have most of this country's media comment hugely in one's corner, as she has, her and her Party's sycophants and acolytes, biffing away at all and any criticism, pretending that NO problem exists when it comes to allegations relative to Gillard, her past career path, and most of all her personal integrity as a (then) lawyer.

We must then ask - is this actually a true democracy we THINK we are living in, or just some mirage/pretence that we live in one.

For if she ends up going scot free in this, in that she and her connections, can succeed in her being able to AVOID being subject to standard scrutiny and subsequent police questioning regarding HER version of what happened with regard to these hugely dire and serious allegations, then we can be sure that this is in fact now a dictatorship bordering on totalitarianism.

And we can kiss the old OZ goodbye. Australia Day will then be a day of mourning - for the "good" life of freedoms, principles, and truths we all value will be a luxury for some but not all, immunity from the laws of the land only available to the rich, well placed, and politically powerful.

We can then realise that, to some, who purport to be looking out for OUR interests, that this is all utter balderdash. And that we are, to them, after all, just regarded as anonymous little colonies of working ants, our short and miserable lives spent trying to survive, pay bills, and bring up and educate our kids to the best of our ability, our women exhausted and worn out from having to work virtually TWO full time jobs, and us all producing the tax revenues which keep all these pretenders and arrogant strutters who pretend they can "lead" in the luxury lives to which they are now evilly addicted. AND the retirements most of us can only ever DREAM of.

Oh, yes - Gillard seems to think she's immune - looking doiwn her seemingly confident nose at us all with disdain. Plus dog. I ask our National AND State police and justice system leaders here then - IS she?

Because we should be now asking loud noise - and asking - IS SHE??????

Thomsons case successfuly stalled and put on back shelf - Labor hope dead buried and forgotten about. He continues the smirk. WHY?

Is the Gillard case to be the same? She continues the smirk. WHY?

Smith demands answers. Pickering does. Hedley Thomas does. Glenn Milne did - and got sacked for daring to question!
(as did Mike Smith!) Why are WE, the Australians who work our guts out to keep the Aussie wheels turning, SO lily-livered that we're all observers, doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING?

Are we born to meekly observe - but never to be brave and speak out? People put up with this constant stalling??

What happened to the Aussie fighting spirit?

SAY something! DO something! Or are there only three or four true patriots to be had in this country?

Stalin and Hitler shut-up dissenters - closed down media. Killed and imprisoned anyone who dared ask questions. Like citizens of those countries - are we now becoming THAT weak and stupid - that we see, and do NOTHING?
