My accountant has just informed me that Axiom is STILL LISTED with ASIC!
This means that until it isn't listed with ASIC anymore, we can't even claim a CGT carry-forward loss
because our shares (or "beneficial interests" in CDIs - held on our behalf by some other unknown entity - whatever all that jargon means)
are still deemed to exist and be in our possession and of some hypothetical value.
Until we sell the shares, or ASIC de-lists the company, we can't even claim a tax deduction on our losses.
But who-the-hell would buy them? I'm not providing financial or legal advice - just repeating what my accountant told me.
How about we all approach ASIC to ask them WHY this company is still listed, and what we actually OWN?
AND why they can "do nothing" about the predicament RM has dumped us all in?
Grunt,
Pig.
