You miss the point entirely, no one is saying Newcrest is not a good stock simply that with an emerging play like PRU you have the opportunity to make returns many times your initial investment....The PRU guys don't want to build and run a mine, they're there to prove up as much resources as soon as possible and then sell to the highest bidder....which may even be NCM!
NCM is a Tier 1 global gold producer, PRU is a small cap with a very large gold resource NOT reserve with huge upside at both its major projects (namely Ayanfuri and Tengrela).......chalk and cheese. Any attempt at comparison is frivolous.
Re BLR, not the place for it but I'd be happy to wager I made more (cashed in, not on paper) money on that play than you've made in your investing career. Let's leave it at that.
