Surely after the last week you'd have a stock or two that are now under water, with which you can sell (and buy back if you still like them) and use the loss to offset your gain on NXS?
I notice that the premium that NXS once held over the AZA offer has now evaporated, and now is trading at less than 50% of the AZA share price. That would lead me to think that the market is now valuing AZA's offer as a fair value. Of course if this continues, NXS shareholders are better off to accept the AZA offer, notforesaking CGT considerations.
I hold both AZA and NXS and by the way it's unfolding, will now likely accept AZA's offer.
