*** The story so far... (edit: Spelling & grammar)
Peter AJ van der Made - Former Chief Scientist at IBM. "I believe this is going to be a lot bigger, this is going to be paradigm shift."
AZK has signed a conditional Heads of Agreement to acquire Artificial Intelligence technology company BrainChip Inc. If the transaction proceeds, Aziana intends to divest all of its existing mineral assets. Which according to their website here http://www.aziana.com.au has been going swimmingly and they will receive ongoing royalties at 0.50c per tonne.
BrainChip has created a Neural Computing technology that autonomously learns (self learns), evolves and associates information in a manner that replicates the neural behaviour of a biological brain. It has opportunity for early & significant revenue.
The chip has been invented by Peter van der Made - who was the head scientist at IBM. The Spiking Neuron Adaptive Processor (SNAP) technology has been in development for 10 years & endorsed by the worlds leading neuroscientists.
It was patented in the U.S. and Australia in 2008.
Peter has been a leader in computer innovation for 40 years & has achieved significant commercial success. He invented one of the earliest high resolution graphics accelerator for the IBM personal computer, as well as a computer immune system that was ultimately acquired by IBM. BrainChip has had Ongoing discussions with potential development partners, I read somewhere that Google are keen.
It is claimed to be significantly faster and more power efficient compared to the world’s fastest computers performing neural computing today. >5000 times faster than anything ever invented and uses 1/1000 of the power of the worlds fastest computers performing neural computing today.
It has potential applications for smartphones, robotics, prostheses (including ear & eye implants), toys, gaming, driverless vehicles, drones, and the new sensor-related world of the 'Internet of Things'. Everybody is talking about the Internet of Things, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Google, HP, IBM etc.
BrainChip’s ongoing development work is focussed on the commercialisation of key applications that were prioritised after consultation and direction from potential major technology partners located in California.
“This impressive technology has the ability to become the future de facto standard for all neural computing, worldwide,” chief executive officer Neil Rinaldi said.
“We are very excited about working with the BrainChip team to finalise the merger, and realise significant growth for the company.”
He added that BrainChip is an innovative developer of automated learning hardware that is ahead of the field.
“We look forward to advancing the technology and forming relationships with potential development partners over the next 12 months. It is also pleasing to note that the SNAP technology has been endorsed by some of the world’s top neuroscientists.”
“We are extremely excited to bring this opportunity to shareholders and we look forward to updating the market with the fast moving progress of the company.”
Bill Gates believes that if you invent something that learns it will be worth 10 Microsoft's. It is already invented and ready to go. The technology has been developed, the research has been done, the product is working. When Peter AJ van der Made was asked if this is the biggest breakthrough of modern times he replied..... "I believe this is going to be a lot bigger, this is going to be paradigm shift, its going to shift away from dumb computers - to something that learns, something you see in the movies." (How dare he say that, I'm only just getting the computer thing worked out!

DYOR.
Anyone dare to guess where this could end up in 6 months, 12 months or 5 years!?
