The company normally sends you a form in the mail to convert the options as the exercise date approaches. You make your Bpay deposit and the new shares appear in your CHess account. I'm old enough to have sent a cheque in the past but I don't think cheques exist anymore? If you want to convert before the exercise date and prior to receiving the form in the post, you can email the company secretary and he or she will happily arrange it. This is the process I've used in the past but I'm not sure if it's changed at all as I tend to steer clear of options.
