Yes AZL lost 1 pip to finish on 2.6, on another low volume day of just over 3.2m shares traded.

Yesterday US markets did all right with SP 500 on 5200 now. The PPI numbers calmed the market after earlier high inflation readings. So brought it to neutral level. Yesterday I had written that based on last pattern, ALB may finish in green, and it played accordingly. But slightly better this time to finish at 130.

Overall ASX Li was mixed , but slightly soft.

AZL too played according to ASX Li, and finished slightly down. It looks to me that we need a catalyst to get over the hump of 3. An announcement or strong Li macro. But overall not a bad weekend, played between 2.4 and 2.8, finishing in the middle. From a weekly perspective, moved from 2.4 to 2.6, so positive week, though not a big one.

So what may happen next week? Much depends on Li macro or if we get an announcement. ALB is testing the macro. In last rise to 130, it was on the 4th day, it slided big towards 120. That killed the slight momentum that was building. So tonight is crucial. Will it stay here or go back to 120? Holding this level will keep it neutral. A rise towards 140 will certainly draw some punters and money into the sector. Will that happen? Let's hope so. Enjoy your weekend and all the best.
