Well, well - that was not the usual tentative ASX Monday trading?

Yes AZL gained 2 pips to finish at 7.3c. Our volume was good, but half of last 2 days, just over 12m shares traded. It was good trading day today, not very strong but to good to reach closer towards 7.7 so that its easier to break the current trading range. Lets see, if markets behave, it should happen sometime this week.

ASX Li stocks had a decent day without being spectacular. Most of the big stocks finished in green which bodes well for the sector. Of the 73 stocks that I track, average gain was around 1%.

What next:

Had covered main points in the weekly report on the weekend, so will keep it short. SP 500 sitting at 4070. To go up, needs to cross 4100 first and then 4170. If we cross 4170 it represents 20% rise from bottom, so for many signals a bull market. If we go down, important to hold 4000 and 3900 if it goes down further.

The die hard bears have still not given up and feel that the crash is coming. If that is to happen, it should start this week.

From chart/economic numbers - still things are looking bullish than bearish. Many neutral analysts are open to the idea that things are turning and we may not go or repeat 2022 pattern.

Personally I am very much in, buying from over week and a half back, as have been mentioning. Lets see what's in store.

So what will happen tonight? US futures are in some red. Asian markets were largely red with ASX dropping around 0.16%. Cryptos though in happy mood and now aiming towards 24k. No major economic data tonight. Lots of earning reports that could provide direction. All eyes are on for Wednesday Interest Rate rise and Powell speak. SP 500 has had very good last 6 days where it has gained over 4%. There is some chance of back test, 4020 or even 4000 which could happen tonight - probability wise this has the highest probability for tonight. But the bulls are in control after nearly a year, so they would like to keep the momentum and cross 4100. Will that happen? Lets hope so. All the best.
