I follow another company that has a project in Utah. On 1 June 2021 they requested approval from the BLM to re-enter two oil wells to explore for lithium in the brine. They received approval for the exploration program 28 September 2022 (took about 18 months to get approval). PDF page 48 may give some some insight as to how the BLM respond to the public comments:
