It would be good to hear something very soon. Also, and I think it has already been said on one of our threads recently, we shouldn't get too fixated on Tesla, don't get me wrong, it would be very positive to have a business connection with Tesla but, in pure car manufacturing terms Tesla are a newbie and produced 'only' circa 500,000 new cars last year. The top two established players (Toyota and VW) each produced over 9 million new cars last year then add in Ford, GM, Mercedes and BMW volumes and you begin to see what Tesla have to do to take on the big boys. Tesla will come under increasing pressure globally, their product is improving from a build quality perspective but all of the established players are now fully focused on building EV's and therefore giving the consumer so much more choice etc.

We don't need to panic if nothing happens between AZL and Tesla even though it would be fantastic to have a connection !!!
