Drilling, extracting and depositing brine was a regular practice with known costs in Saskatchewan. Anyone can now claim one of those played-out holes, sign up with a chemical company and buy a pump. Takes about $7 million capital to start, not the $80 million that AZL squandered. The value of what is produced is a known quantity also. If the selling price is only US $12,000 a ton, it's guaranteed that the more you churn out, the less cash you have. Tell people it will sell for $21,000, though, and some of them will believe you. Some people will believe anything. Which reminds me, whatever happened to BSPumper?
