It's obviously not Australia, which is a colony of China when it comes to lithium. Sends them ore, buys finished products like the BYD EV for which someone posted a glowing review recently.
Chile and Argentina are in the US backyard, given free trade agreements with them, so if the US can't help Australia out of its dependence on China, we can at least encourage the countries with which we have always had a "Good Neighbor" policy. Transportation costs are negligible when DLE has already reduced the product to near-commercial grade.
