ASN have never stated the purity of their carbonate for the opex. Paul has. 99.5% lithium carbonate at the well head for $2800 a tonne. ASN may well produce 99.9% carbonate but they haven't stated that. The majority of the $2606 cost for AZL is to convert carbonate to hydroxide.

AZL have applied a discount to the sale price due to the end user having to spend US$2,606 to refine the product to a grade they can use.

ASN by the way produce 99.96% battery grade carbonate, with offtakes already signed with LG Energy.
