The discussion is specifically about the Big Sandy project. Funnily enough every argument made here is from the Lifefree handbook.
"it will more than likely take 2 million litres of water for 1 tonne of lithium".
Lithium Americas (our closest comparison) will use less than 1/10th of that and will be re-cycling their water 7 times on average.
