Yep, it's institutions doing the flip and switch when stocks get too richly valued too quick. AFR recently published a piece on lithium stocks being in a bubble which is complete horse shit. I expect sentiment to change now that we are not at those levels in my opinion, I think a lot of the cause of the recent run up has been from the COP26 meeting which had announced some very good things for EVs going forward, so of course the market liked it but i suspect buyers to be lurking soon as we are 20-30% off those highs across most Li stocks.

Overall market sentiment is in the dumps too but i suspect once their is some clarity on the omicron variant which should be in the next week or so there will be a end of year rally and the news won't be bad, I believe omicron will just end up being an overreaction.
