It took a while but I figured out where that 12,000 gallon figure came from. That's the size of the storage tank, where they will put the 145,000 gallons they need for drilling. So that's at least a dozen trips with one truck. Better rent the truck for a year, because the drilling is supposed to take as long as 18 months. So one trip a month. At least the groundwater level has time to come back up.
