I know exactly what a recession is and we were 'technically' in one when the pandemic was at its peak, everyone locked up. While there has been an 'upturn' and depending on who you ask and their expected 'timeframes', have we really come out of it? Some say it's 2 quarters of negative growth, some say 3 quarters but who's to say 1 or 2 quarters of growth means we're out? I'm not so sure, but like everyone else with an opinion on it, this is mine whether I'm 'technically' right or not!
Yes, you are right, it is a sell off for exactly those reasons you mention. Especially fear...the insto's feed off that!
