A drab day, usual Monday
Yes, on a decent volume of just over 31m shares traded, we finished flat on 14c.
ASX Li stocks started strongly but retreated soon. Of the 31 stocks that I track, average gain was around 0.5%. Third consecutive day of gain across 31 stocks, but very small gains.
What next - We started well and at one stage looked like a finish towards 16c was on the cards, but all stocks retreated. It showed that the rally on Friday by US market is not accepted unless corroborated by further gains. At this stage dow is red. As I mentioned on weekend, many bear pundits feel that there is room to fall further, but most agree that a bulk of fall has happened and should not fall much from here. So we wait for dow/sp500. One indicator is usually bitcoin, that too has gone below 30k. Looks like another wild tonight. Don't know what will happen. As long is it is not a big red, it may be fine. A green would definetly give us impetus tomorrow. The rally that started in the morning but fizzled out may continue. Lets hope it turns out that way. All the best.
