Another day in the doldrums

Yes on a day stocks were not getting strength, we stayed flat to finish on 14.5c. Our volume was slightly lower that last couple odays to yesterday - just under 17m shares traded.

ASX Lithium stocks also could not find direction. Of the 31 stocks that I track, there was a slight decline of 0.65%.

Overnight US stocks did not do well and most fell a few percentage. The ETF fund LIT declined by just over 2%.

What next -
So dow is still being a maverick. Last 5 days - A big red, medium red, slight green, big green and again slight green yesterday. S&P 500 fell though yesterday. The 2 days that we got slight green, dow was still doing wild swings. Both days it was down by over 500 points at one stage. It just shows the uncertainity and volatility. Some feel that we may be reaching a point of stabilisation or reversal, hence dow is able to reverse 500 points down in intra day. But the bear pundits have not given up yet. Tonight some US data to be released and Powell may speak. That may have an impact.

Last 2 days dow has had a big green and a slight green. But most asx stocks, including commodities are not buying that. Stocks have fell for both the 2 days. ASX was good green for much of today, but most Li stocks looked weak. Persistent downward pressure of last 7 weeks has created an inertia and fear, which stocks are finding it difficult to overcome and reverse. So what do we need? Probably some good news or consistent greens for a period. Still waiting for my 650-1000 point green. Though the other day we got over 600 points - close. Lets hope there is some good news or dow keeps away from a red - especially a big red. That may get us moving. All the best.
