Big Sandy is back, baby!. Hopefully Brett Rabe is able to pull off getting the opex down, closer to 5k like he said their aim was last year. Imagine if we could beat Thacker Pass on economics!? He did say in the June webinar that the Big Sandy ore "provides a bit more flexibility to do things" than Thacker Pass. Then in August said the alternative (cemvita?) to sulfuric acid leeching was showing promise and that the capex for that would be significantly less. And that we should expect some announcements on that in the coming months.
Beneficiation/grade increase comparison:
AZL + 97%, Bacanora +43%, Thacker Pass +39%, Jindalee +26%, Bradda Head +26%
AZL's post-beneficiation grade will still be lower than T.P and Bacanora. Sulfuric acid makes up 36% of T.P's Opex.
