I've previously shared in this forum my intuition that SQM were provided with information that was not shared to the market. This is purely an intuition and speculation and thus I'm not suggesting posters to believe or share the same view as me.
My reasoning is because Tony mentioned in an interview that AZS released announcements on the identification of lithium 12 months after. As they wanted to make sure "it was the real deal before announcing to the market".
What's stopping Tony sharing privy information to SQM?
I'm still intrigued on the fact SQM has previously entered into 'earn-in agreement' with companies on the ASX. However with AZS they executed a two tranche transaction which includes discussions on an off-take agreement.
