It's basic good journalistic practice to seek comment before launching an attack.
Even if they are right on the essentials of the call, the boys are making a belated offer to have them on the show after firing the shots.
Reputational damage is at risk, and that's not just to Chalice, because of the possibility they are wrong.

On the other hand, they must be pretty sure of their call and if they are right Chalice probably won't appear on the show.
Still, I've seen the AFR taking broadsides on other companies without proper consultation.

So far so good for AZS on that score.
