All being well, the first deep diamond hole at Pacman should be close to the base of cover today.
They've been drilling for 6 days.
They should be getting 30-35m a shift if the ground is reasonably good.
So, if they're drilling double shifts, that would be 360-420m downhole by the end of today.
The cover is ~350m deep, so a -70 degree angle hole should be through it at 372m downhole, and a -60 degree angle hole should be through it at 420m downhole.
Not that any drilling program I have ever done has gone that smoothly, particularly in a previously undrilled area with no direct geological information. And problems could certainly occur at the interface between the cover and the underlying potentially mineralised Proterozoic basement.
We shall see.
