Good solid day, 10.5m done at 1.4 out of the 12m for the day.

While we await the next Geo-01drilling results, which could drop anytime in the next 2 weeks.

We should also expect the 2024 CY drilling plan for the RIO JV anytime very very soon, i wonder how extensive it will be or not be, are they just waiting for the tick off on Winu so exploration light at the moment ?

So just a bit of a catch up on the JV with Rio and the Citadel project seems relevant



Now remember the resource sits at 108MT for 2.7m oz AuEq or roughly .78 g/t AuEq

Now i have no idea what tonnage could be done from an open pit and trucking it 45km.

But lets say a bare minimum of 3Mt it gives the JV about 75,000 oz Au Eq and AZY share about 24,000 oz AuEq per annum

Double those figures if you think 6Mt is possible.

Now remember RIO owns 68% of this project, and has spent over $25m drilling it out, would seem logical that if Winu is built, which it will, but by whom is probably the question now and when.

So a significant revenue stream awaits us at some point and a huge value uplift for AZY in market capitalisation if that were to occur.


Rio can’t be far away from making their intentions known on the project and the inclusion of Citadel or not.

Just as a refresher on the project since details have been scarce for along time, i have included this interview with Stephen, i do like how he spoke about Citadel in this interview.

Yes its awhile ago, and yes timeframes are way out of whack, but that Citadel resource has not disappeared, and in fact has become a lot more valuable not having been mined.
