Newmont always said they would look at selling the non 1 Tier assets of NCM to pay down some of the acquisition cost.

Certainly not impulse or change of tact, they never ever bought Newcrest for Telfer, they bought it for Newcrest's Tier 1 assets, which Telfer is not.

Would have been more of a surprise if they retained it.

How this plays out will be interesting, so many probabilities, and again another owner of the 8.6% stake in AZY.

Who ever buys it will want to talk to AZY in some format, as you would not buy it if you can't get more ore through that mill to bring down your costs per oz.

And you would want access to more land to have that exploration upside.

Will be interesting to say the least
