i take issue with the statement that onshore oil and gas is not the place to be.
onshore gas is certainly not the place to be, totally agree there, as the shale gas from the haynesville and barnett will help keep the gas prices low for a long time to come, so plays like the edwards is not attractive. chevron already has announced they are leaving onshore usa alone as gas prices are too low.
the condensate in the eagleford is primarily why the operators are chasing this play hard. the economics are there if you get good condensate flow. COP are not chasing the eagleford for the gas, they are only interested in the condensate
azz needs a good result in the dilworth for them to make a go of it.. so far the lack of what is deemed commercial flow in the edwards is not a good start..
