The whole concept of a single IQ is old hat as my late husband the Prof was wont to say at times.
Might I direct those interested to a book by Howard Gardner called Multiple Intelligences. His thesis, one which is being increasingly examined, is that there are at least 7 different intelligences. They are linguistic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, spatial intelligence, musical intelligence, bodily kinasthaetic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence and intrapersonal intelligence.
I haven't time to explain all of these but conventional IQ tests concentrate mainly on the first two of these and pretty much ignore the rest.
