Does anyone know the current situation with the Brisbane Data Centre and any possible new data centre (B2?).
Based on the 30 June 2014 accounts, B1 was 69% contracted and 66% utilised. This has been growing at approximately 10% every six months (H1 2013 - 39%, H2 2013 - 46%, H1 2014 - 58%, H2 2014 - 69%).
Assuming the increase stays similar, B1 will be at capacity 18 months from 30 June 2014. As such, by Christmas 2015 B1 may be full.
Does anyone know if there are plans in progress for a B2 facility? Are they looking at building a new purpose built centre in Brisbane or converting another building. With 14 months to December 2015, any constructions plans must be in progress.
