re the currents affecting 105 - I'll go for swim when I get the train down to Hoi An the end of next week and check it out to see if there are any rips off the beach. Probably a bit too far even for me to swim all the way out to the rig. Though I can vouch for the typhoon season being over, it hasn't rained here in Hue for over a week and it's now sunny and dry at last - but it's still mould central.

The Vietnamese seem to have got their excitement well under control re B105 - they are deceptively calm.
