It's the Cooper Basin and no real mystery there, just the methods of extraction are getting better - hence Santos revisting there older fields . It's light sweet crude with recovery rates that will be different for each well no doubt but from what I have read and discussed with the company, above 30% average is likely with some wells delivering closer to high 40% and some at around 15% . Santos say they find and develop the oil fields for a $22 cost per barrel from the same Cooper geology . They no doubt have alot of infrastructure that INP doesn't so at a guess, the cost to INP may be $35-40 a barrel . Not a bad margin still when the ol price is $91 .
The gas sales haven't been discussed much but will add a lucrative premium to the oil sales .
