As I see it, the miners know that demand will return in 09..and the values of this type of asset will rise too as the credit situation gets better, I don;t think they want to risk missing this asset now at a reasonable price, rather than waiting and paying much more. I would think that the large miners and most companies are fairly forward looking entities, and can see the value in this asset for the near future...
