    The boomers had to endure repeatedly challenging economic conditions. How many major recessions did we have to live through prior to 2000? The 70s, 80s and 90s had some pretty rough patches.

    Very high inflation and 10% unemployment wasn't pretty...in fact, soul destroying when everyone is competing for the same job vacancy.

    Anyone under 40 today has not experienced a recession in their working lives. This has made the younger generation soft, taking almost everything for granted.

    Not happy with the boss? Stuff him, I can find another job in a week. Want that $40,000 new car? Easy! Mates taking a gap year? So will I! Going o'seas for 6 weeks? Sure...haven't had a holiday in a year. Checked out that new restaurant in town? Been there twice already. You're actually paying for that morning coffee and UberEats lunch?? What's $25?....Life is about experiences, old man!

    Yes, son. Nice to know you'll have plenty coming your way now. You're entitled to them. After all, your teachers have drilled entitlement into you throughout your modern 'education'.
