I worked hard when young and I've been keeping myself informed once I got broadband. I do not believe that I, personally, have been selfish by "hoarding property" or done ANYTHING else you could reasonably say made it harder for a younger generation. In fact I have done quite a lot for the two of my offspring that nave needed help.
It is simplistic to think everything good that happened was by chance (or ignore it) and everything bad is OUR fault. I am in the process of selling my rental property to a much younger man who will join a legion of fourty-somethings trying for wealth via overpriced property. Don't blame me for property prices, I didn't bid them up, it's the aspirational younger generation did that.
