My son is thirty. A tradie. Never taken one red cent from me. Refuses to. He moved out from home at age eighteen. He now has his own place paid off with three tenants bringing in $240 per bedroom per week. He paid ~$450,000 for a place that is 45 mins from the heart of Brisbane. He was positively geared from the start. Did it all on his own. There is a lot more to his story, but I promise you, anyone can make it in this country with the right approach to life. I see it all the time with immigrants who live on a bowl of rice and sleep twelve to a room to get ahead. Next thing they own multiple properties.
Any other approach is simply an excuse for failing.
