JW are simply deceived;That they are and so is EVERYONE else that believe Jesus is the word in John 1:1.
Jesus does NOT even get a direct mention in John until 1:14, he is still basically the hidden mystery hid IN God, the plan.
Mal 3:1 B, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith Yahweh of hosts.
Isa 40:3 - A voice of one calling: "Prepare the way for Yahweh in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.
In other words, clear the path, layout the TRUTHS, what was and who it was,...........................AND GOD WAS THE WORD = YAHWEH.
God said, God said, God said....................by or before the events recorded in John 1:3.
At 1:14, part of the word became flesh (Temple) and much more came in the Flesh (Temple).
God, the Word came into the Temple.
The Glory some beheld was "the word". (John 17:22 & 1:14).
God does not become the Temple's he enters.
John 14:10 is 1:14.
