Andrew, a comment on your first chart:
The orange line has 5 up thrusts.
The second up thrust is labelled (i) (ii)
The fourth up thrust doesn't have a number at its base nor its top
The fifth up thrust has 3 up thrusts within it, of which the second up thrust has contained in it two more up thrusts, with the second starting from a lower base than the first.
I don't understand.
