So companies do buybacks near peaks but never at bottoms.
Have you noticed gold miners stop hedging near peaks amd start at lows.
Airlines start hedging fuel prices at oil price peaks and not at lows.
Major miners go off long term contracts and onto spot prices at price peaks and then lock in long term contracs at lows.
And these people are supposed to be smart.
At least if give us a reading of where markets are as contrarians.
