Dino.........could you keep us updated on your progress as you go! I for one would be most interested. I'm in a similar situation. Nearest MRI is over 2000 km away but I'm just about ready to bite the bullet and book in. Had CT scans which show a bulging disc at L5 S1 (whatever that means) but according to my local "specialist", there's no nerve impingement.
A mate of mine was told the same thing for six months while he took unpaid leave, ate bucket loads of nurofen and panadol forte, before finally booking an airfare to Perth for an MRI. They had him in surgery two days later operating on a severely herniated disc which was jamming against a nerve.
The local doctors are famous for their ineptitude.
Anyway, I would really appreciate knowing what your MRI shows and what treatment is recommended.
