why would a shorter be closing out of their position going up.. more sense to close out in the very early action of the morning

It could quite easily be just any of the buyers of early this morning who are now closing out, any of that 4M in that very first bar

This is one reason why sometimes it is a problem with high volume, one doesn't really know if the demand that is mixed in with the supply (weak holders selling), is going to hang around for long, what they may bail or exit or sell quite early on the rise which hammers any uptrend.

This is the reason why the pro money don't start a move until they see genuine testing ON LOW volumes, spotting this will almost guarantee them that THEY don't have to BUY off these early sellers whilst moving up, that would be stupid hey cause the pro money only what to sell (distribute) at much higher prices.
