If someone has been on a deferral I would imagine they will also get a 90 day hardship arrangement once the deferral ends if they don’t qualify for the additional 4 month deferral. The bank doesn’t just foreclose day 1 when you can’t make a payment. More likely it will be the new year when we start to see banks having to think about foreclosing. Mark Hand was interviewed by AFR and said some property owners might see the writing on the wall and sell before waiting for the bank to foreclose. Going to be an interesting 6-12 months from here.
