with Stage 4 restrictions affecting Melbourne, ANZ along with NAB have the problem that they are based in Melbourne which has been savaged by the pandemic and may be in zombie business mode for some time,
ANZ, and NAB as well for that matter, should move their HQ and business functions from Melbourne to Sydney to join the rest of the Australian financial services sector in its financial services center.
This regionalisation from ANZ and NAB in Melbourne has served them very badly compared to CBA and WBC.
ANZ should move to Sydney before it is too late IMHO for its business model.
