You may have seen today's deal between MAC and Polymetals in the Cobar Basin. The two miners with adjacent ground have started the inevitable rationalisation of the patchwork quilt which is Cobar. It is only for five million dollars and it largely revolves around water supply and potential future utilisation of Polymetals plant for high grade zinc material, but it is collaboration. Money is bigger than egoes for smart operators.
With Hera and The Peak mills hungry for feed, let's hope AMI doesn't wait too long to enter into meaningful arrangements with its neighbours. At the moment, Mr Brazil is the only thing standing between an independant Aurelia and a takeover. Hopefully, in time, share price increase and company capitalisation is enough to fend off opportunistic bidders.
