Because our economy is in freefall. At best a recession, at worst depression. Gdp lowest in 30 years. Our mining sector is not going to pull us out of this one by the looks of it. We make nothing, our exports are collapsing, we cant house people, we have a massive social welfare outlay. Years of apathy by both sides of gov. The way its going, we may not even be able to guarrantee our power supply.
