Back here after a year or two of sulking from when the unlamented previous Board and management managed to destroy such a huge amount of shareholder value re Dargues.
Was able to buy back in for less than I exited for in September 22 notwithstanding recent good gains from bottom.
Anyway, most of you I am sure are aware of the history....
Good assets underpinned by a consolidation story have to be a more robust theme than just one or other.
Clearly MAC is on the move. POL is happy to be tucked in under that. AMI states as its 4th priority to "optimise the Cobar". And PEX talks of its strategic position and the excess capacity in existing mills.
Not sure whether AMI will be hunter or hunted or both but do hope these guys can collectively think about coherence and 1+1 equalling 5 rather than short-term personal interest, as well of course as pulling stuff out of the ground and selling it for megabucks.
